GROUNDWATER PROTECTION NOTICE
DRILLING PERMITS FOR CATHODIC PROTECTION BOREHOLES
Pursuant to the Cathodic Protection
effective May 14, 2004, an approved drilling permit must be obtained from the Big Bend Groundwater Management District No. 5 BEFORE a cathodic protection borehole is drilled and constructed. While reviewing the cathodic protection rules and regulations prior to application, pay special attention, as Big Bend GMD #5 has District specific rules and regulations. For example, the District requires a surface casing to have a standard dimension ration (SDR) of 21 or less, whereas KCC requires an SDR of 26 or less.
